Gerry Fowler leads the European Equity Strategy and Global Derivative Strategy teams at UBS. Prior to joining UBS, Gerry was a multi-asset absolute return portfolio manager at abrdn. Before joining what was then Standard Life Investments, he ran global equity and derivative strategy teams at BNP Paribas and Citi.
In those roles, he had a strong focus on integrating macroeconomics and stock fundamentals into the investment research process. In addition to his strategy roles, Gerry was a Board member of CFA UK from 2012-2018 and was Chairman for the last two of those years.
Gerry is a CFA Charter holder and a Fellow of the Society of Investment Professionals. He also has a Post Graduate Diploma (applied finance and investments) and a Bachelor of Commerce degree (finance and economics). He has a wife and three young children who love family holidays as much as he does.
