Brendan Walsh is currently a Senior Macro Strategist with Aviva Investors based within the Multi Asset Solutions group. He is responsible for idea generation and trading for both short and medium term Multi Asset absolute return overlays on the Aviva with profits fund. Brendan focuses on efficient implementation of strategy team economic views using a cross asset derivative approach, and the identification and trading of market anomalies. He is also involved in the construction and management of a tail hedging overlay. Prior to Joining Aviva in 2010 Brendan was a member of the Standard Life GARS team where had responsibility for risk analysis, interest rate and inflation hedging and volatility trading. Brendan joined Standard Life direct from a Geophysics PhD at The University of Edinburgh in 2006.
