Javier is head of the Quantitative Investment Strategies (QIS) group in EMEA within Goldman Sachs Asset Management and leads the Alternative Investment Strategies and Client Portfolio Management teams in London. Javier joined Goldman Sachs in 2010 and was named managing director in 2013.
Prior to joining the firm, Javier was a senior strategist and head of UK and Europe Client Solutions at Barclays Global Investors, where he had a lead role in the design, marketing and development of the multi-strategy hedge funds and global multi-asset products in Europe, Latin America and Asia Ex-Japan.
Javier earned a BA in Financial Management and Accounting from The Catholic University of America, Washington, DC, and an MSc in International Securities, Investments and Banking from the University of Reading in the United Kingdom
