David is the CIO and founding partner of Levitas Capital, a volatility specialist that deploys a quantitative and systematic approach to trading equity market volatility focused on the CBOE VIX Complex. Levitas considers volatility to be a standalone asset class and takes an agnostic approach to volatility positioning. Since 2013 Levitas has successfully managed high net worth accounts and was recently awarded an Australian Industry Superannuation Fund mandate to run an Australian Unit Trust offering of its Absolute Return VIX strategy. Before Levitas, David worked in derivative structuring and advisory for Merrill Lynch and UBS Australia and has presented on the asset class at a range of events including the joint ASX & Goldman Sachs volatility seminar for financial market professionals.
