Keith is Chief Investment Officer at Cardano and heads up the investment team responsible for investment strategy, portfolio construction and manager selection for pension fund clients. This team conduct research across 7 principle areas: Strategy, Liability Driven Investments, Equities, Credit, Macro, Private Equity and Property combining traditional and alternative investment approaches into a cohesive view on risk/reward opportunities globally. He joined Cardano in January 2008.
From 2002 to 2007 Keith worked as an Investment Manager at GAM, responsible for $6bn in arbitrage related Fund-of-Hedge Fund strategies and $0.5bn in multi-asset class portfolios. Keith started his career in the corporate actuarial department of the First Rand group. In 1999 he became head of long-only manager research and an investment committee member at RMB International, a subsidiary of First Rand, managing $500m in discretionary assets. Keith graduated from the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa with a BSc in Statistics & Actuarial Science and a BSs (Hons) in Actuarial Science. He qualified as an actuary in 1997.
