Rich joined 36 South in 2013 and his core duties involve monitoring existing portfolios and analysing potential investments. His other responsibilities include conducting industry and company specific research and due diligence, and assisting the Investment Management Committee (“IMC”) in new product development and implementation. He is also responsible for maintaining records of the IMC’s decisions.
Prior to joining 36 South, he completed an internship at New Zealand Assets Management in their research department, and later he worked for the investment bank, Sandler O'Neill + Partners in New York on their restructuring desk.
Rich graduated from the University of Otago (New Zealand) with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 2012. Rich holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Investment Management Certificate (IMC). He is an affiliate member of the CFA Institute. He is also a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) holder.
